Towards sustainability – a good return on investment
The Museum is managed as a not for profit organization with a limited government subsidy. Expanded facilities would enable the Museum to double the number of visitors to the site, increasing the viability of the Museum shop and the contribution from overseas visitors. New space would also allow the institution to increase revenue from its events and conference business, gain rent from a new family restaurant business and be more appealing to potential donors as the number of activities held in the Museum increase.
